THE NEW LAND ROVER DEFENDER MAKES ITS DEBUT AT THE FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW WITH UNITEAM'S DOOR PANELS, THE BACK- INJECTION ON TPO FOIL

Last September the new Land Rover Defender has been presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show. For the remake of this car, considered a legend of the English vehicle manufacturer, Uniteam has supplied a “turn-key” package by designing and manufacturing four injection tools for front and rear door panels, as well as two automated cells and four grippers thanks to its own business unit dedicated to industrial automations.

With this project, Uniteam has supplied tools with back-injection of plastic material on pre-heated TPO sheet, thus combining the door panel’s structural and aesthetic element in just one process.

By doing so, Uniteam has once again managed to apply its own know-how and experience to provide a complete package, thus meeting the customer’s needs. It was a challenge, not a new one at all, since for years now Uniteam is a solution providers on the global market at the service of plastic injection for the automotive industry.
