Three types of cutting in just one tool

Fabric cutting integrated inside tool is one of the technologies offered by Uniteam in the context of back-injection.

We can respond flexibly to different geometrical necessities normally required by the automotive market, thanks to these three types of in- mould cutting achievable in just one tool:

a) the first type consists in leaving a fabric edge necessary for the following folding and glueing operations.

b) the second type achieves a fabric edge which does not require further reworkings, indeed the edge is then covered in the assembly phase. 

c) The third type foresees cutting the fabric right on the edge of the plastic part and its folding just to cover the part thickness. This solution is suggested in case of parts with visible edges.

Thanks to these solutions of in-mould cutting, the post-injection stages are reduced to the maximum.
